1. They Use Carousels with an H1 Tag at the Top of the Homepage
2. Ministries Compete for Space on the Homepage
In comparison, it's a real issue for Church websites. A major way to handle this is to put your calendar or events page near the top of the homepage. However, some ministries may want their information displayed prominently yet don't have an event coming up soon. In this case, make the events page and Ministries page show prominently on the homepage, perhaps below the fold (the fold is the entire page that you see at the top, before the page is scrolled down). On the ministries page, make sure to feature the different ministries of the Church (Children, Students, Adults, Missions, etc.), which should hopefully make the leaders of those ministries satisfied with the website.
